verygently

Nashville trio verygently joined us at East Iris Studios during AMERICANAFEST for three songs from their debut album, Sorry, Sarah. Drew Erwin, Joey Hendricks, and Tristan Bushman each came to the group as solo artists, and their three-part vocal harmonies have since become a defining part of the sound.

The group credits Ruston Kelly's Dying Star as an influence on their approach to harmonies. Before forming verygently, all three found themselves singing along to Kelly's songs, eventually bringing that instinct into their own music. The band also talked about their unlikely start. After a writers' room together, a tour offer from Augustana helped push them from three solo artists into a working band almost overnight.
