Devon Gilfillian
Raised in Philadelphia on Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Motown, hip-hop and Jimi Hendrix, Devon Gilfillian moved to Nashville without much country music in his life. Gilfillian’s longtime drummer and friend Jonathan Smalt turned him on to Sturgill Simpson’s Metamodern Sounds in Country Music, revealing that there was "a lot of soul in country music."
Gilfillian and Smalt took the songs that became Time Will Tell to RCA Studio A, and brought the album to life. At Chelsea Studios NYC, Gilfillian put two of those songs to the campfire test, stripping them all the way down to the turtles.
Recorded live at Chelsea Studios NYC on June 23, 2026, featuring music from Devon Gilfillian's new album Time Will Tell.
